Delight in all things crafty at Christmas markets
CALOUNDRA Arts Centre Association’s Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair is on Saturday, November 11, 9am-4pm and Sunday, November 12, 9am-3pm at 5 North Street, Caloundra (behind Caloundra Woolworths).
A wonderful array of quality handcrafted goods made by CACA members will be on sale.
This is a marvellous opportunity to support your local community and pick up some authentic handmade Australian products for yourself or family and friends.
All rooms at the centre
will be filled with an interesting and exciting selection of handicrafts including pottery, woodwork, original art and pastels to handmade lace, quilting, embroidery and jewellery (to name but a few).
Christmas is not far away so this is an ideal opportunity to get in and purchase some handmade Christmas decorations, cards and gifts.
The cake stall featuring genuine homemade goodies, including pickles, jams, slices and cakes is extremely popular and sells out very quickly. Plant stalls, pre-loved books and magazines will tempt the serious browser with some great bargains.
Raffles will be available for people to try their luck with wonderful prizes, including a gourmet food basket valued at $250.
Light refreshments are available including delicious fresh homemade sandwiches and cakes, Devonshire teas and a sausage sizzle. Be entertained on Sunday with musical highlights from Sunshine Coast Ukulele players.
To commemorate Remembrance Day, over 500 handmade poppies (knitted, crocheted and ceramic) will be on display as well as other memorabilia and quilts. Visitors may purchase a poppy for a small donation with all proceeds going to Quilts of Valour Australia.
Admission is free.
