Cro­quet club hosts Clas­sic

CRO­QUET: THE Caloun­dra Mal­let Sports Club has a bright fu­ture.

This was show­cased when the club hosted the 20th RSL Clas­sic last week­end.

While there were no win­ners from the Coast, club vice-pres­i­dent Howard Wil­liams said it was an hon­our to host the clas­sic as it was an in­te­gral part on the cro­quet cal­en­dar.

Troy McCal­lum from Mary­bor­ough took third place and Don Close of Rock­hamp­ton fourth.

The com­pe­ti­tion was held over three days and of­fered the com­mu­nity an in­sight into the sport played with a “high level of skill”.
