Take on challenge of Kokoda
MORE than 2000 people, including 250 school teams, are registered to participate in the eighth Kokoda Challenge on June 2, raising money for our local youth.
The Brisbane Kokoda Challenge, run by the Kokoda Youth Foundation, allows teams of two, three or four to conquer an endurance event of up to 48km through some of Brisbane’s toughest terrain in D’Aguilar National Park.
It’s all about keeping the Kokoda spirit of courage, endurance, mateship and sacrifice alive within our society, while changing lives of local youth.
Event proceeds fund the Kokoda Youth Foundation’s programs that take youth, including those at-risk, through adventure-based learning, community service, team building and to Papua New Guinea to hike the real Kokoda Track.
The Kokoda Youth Foundation are encouraging people to rally the troops, fundraise for local youth and tick a big-ticket item off your bucket list – The Kokoda Challenge!
Register to participate or volunteer at the website kokodachallengeevents.com. Registrations close on Monday, May 14.
