Shelters are full to overflowing and each day the calls to take more and more animals pour in.

There have been a multitude of kittens, puppies dogs and cats of all ages coming in to shelters all over Queensland and there are a lot of animals that are not desexed having more litters.

Sometimes people on a limited income find it a struggle to desex their pet.

The National Desexing Network is a referral system made available to pet owners in financial need to help spay or neuter their animals.

If you need this assistance, visit www.ndn. org.au or phone 1300 368 992.

The Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge also have their DeSex in the City program running where you can have your cat desexed for $49.

Phone the refuge on 5494 5275.
