COUNCIL seems bent on making money by parking infringements.
Perhaps there is future money to be made if the Sekisui proposal is approved, as certainly there will be illegally parked extra vehicles from the Sekisui’s planned 1225 dwelling and room units.
It appears that little money would be gained from Sekisui itself.
Let us hope that our Sunshine Coast councillors will be as sensible as the four Maroochydore state candidates in the recent elections, and reject the Sekisui application to bypass the Town Plan.
The community and tourists value our relaxed and scenic seaside nature spot.
They, and I, don’t want another crowded village stretched out along the coastal fringe.
Let’s keep to Coolum’s welcoming sign: “Sea for Yourself”. Let’s not entertain the notion of 2000 people jammed into 1225 units in the 19 hectare block.
