FOLLOWING a record-breaking year for Queensland tourism, Sunshine Coast businesses are being urged to put their hats in the ring for the hotly anticipated 2018 Queensland Tourism Awards, hosted by the Queensland Tourism Industry Council.
Last year’s awards resulted in the popularity of the Sunshine Coast netting local operators seven awards, including five for outstanding accommodation, from a field of more than 200 top Queensland tourism businesses.
QTIC Chief Executive Daniel Gschwind said the 34th annual Queensland Tourism Awards were set to be better than ever.
Introduced last year, the RACQ People’s Choice Award will again provide the public with the opportunity to have their say and vote for their favourite tourism experience and service, or accommodation provider when submissions have been finalised in late-August.
Nominations close at 5pm on Thursday, May 31.
Entrants are encouraged to make the most of the new, streamlined online submission process.
Gold, silver and bronze winners from the 28 Queensland Tourism Awards categories and the RACQ People’s Choice Award will be announced on Friday, November 16.
First time nominees are encouraged to make use of QTIC’s entrant support services at queenslandtourismawards.com.au/ support-for-entrants.
