Reg­is­ter Queens­land Day event

COM­MU­NITY or­gan­i­sa­tions, schools, busi­nesses, sport­ing groups and fam­i­lies plan­ning Queens­land Day activities on June 6 are in­vited to reg­is­ter their event on the of­fi­cial Queens­land Day cal­en­dar.

From work­place bar­be­cues to dec­o­rat­ing homes and shopfronts, Queens­lan­ders are en­cour­aged to join Queens­land’s birth­day cel­e­bra­tions and com­mem­o­rate 159 years since the state of­fi­cially sep­a­rated from New South Wales in 1859.

Events reg­is­tered be­fore Fri­day, June 1 will re­ceive a free Queens­land Day mer­chan­dise pack and be in the run­ning to win one of ten Queens­land re­gional pro­duce ham­pers val­ued at $300.

The cal­en­dar will high­light activities tak­ing place in ev­ery part of the state, al­low­ing com­mu­nity groups to show­case their events and con­nect with other lo­cals plan­ning to at­tend cel­e­bra­tions.
