Kim’s baking tips:
+ Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature before starting. + Measure dry ingredients in
measuring jugs. + To preheat to correct temperature, turn oven on 20 minutes before baking cakes. + When making two cakes (either packet or homemade), make them in one large bowl. + Grease cake pans with melted butter or spray oil before lining with baking paper. + Bake cakes on the same shelf in the oven to ensure even cooking. + When baking more than one cake, swap positions after two-thirds of cooking time.
