A 44-YEAR-old man who pleaded guilty to several drug offences in the Mareeba Magistrates Court has received a $1500 fine and no criminal conviction recorded on his history.

Micheal Andrew Holzberger faced court on Monday, December 5, charged with one count each of possessing utensils or pipes that had been used, possessing dangerous drugs and producing drugs.

Police executed a search warrant at Holzberger’s home and found several drug related utensils that had been used.

The items included a plastic bottle with a hose attached on the side, a glass bong, a coke can and a milk bottle that had been fashioned into a bong and a set of scales.

Police also found two clip seal bags, which contained 0.5 grams of cannabis in each.

They also found 5 grams of cannabis seeds in Holzberger’s pocket.

A search of the yard revealed a number of cannabis plants growing.

Holzberger said they were relatively new plants, which he cared for by watering them.
