Museum thanks its volunteers
DIMBULAH Museum volunteers and their families finished the year off with a scenic journey through history.
The Savannahlander took about 40 passengers on a trip from Almaden to Dimbulah, with a stop at Lappa Junction Pub, last Saturday.
Dimbulah and District Museum Committee secretary Grace Armenti said the endof-year breakup was a great way to thank the volunteers for all their hard work.
“It was great and people got to see all he historical sites and relics,” she said.
“It was a way of saying thank you. When we got back we had presentations with certificates and little gifts.
“It was also great to see that the young kids enjoyed the train trip. It was good and I would recommend it.”
The Dimbulah Railway Station and Museum will be closed from Saturday, December 17, to Wednesday, March 1.
No Train will be operating during this period.
The first Dimbulah Museum Markets will be on Saturday, January 7, from 8.30am to 12.30pm. To book a stall, call Robert on 0428 482 110 or Lois on 0429 021 486.
Sarah Watson, Billie-Jo Petzler and Natalie Shrive have fun during the end-of-year farewell.
