Head to The Aus­tralian But­ter­fly Sanc­tu­ary to see the largest but­ter­fly and light aviary ex­hibit in Aus­tralia and the South­ern hemi­sphere.

The sanc­tu­ary is home to more than 1500 beau­ti­ful trop­i­cal but­ter­flies and guided tours give vis­i­tors the chance to learn all about the but­ter­fly’s life cy­cle and be­haviour.

Lo­cated in the Ku­randa Her­itage mar­kets, Bird­world Ku­randa is home to a va­ri­ety of unique bird species from the van­ish­ing forests of the world.

Come and see Ama­zo­nian macaws, the en­dan­gered cas­sowary, rain­bow lori­keets, galahs, cock­a­toos and more.

With al­most 80 dif­fer­ent bird species, Bird­world is land­scaped with wa­ter­falls, ponds and ex­otic and na­tive plants.
