Al­leged stab­bing in Mt Car­bine

A 57-year-old lo­cal man who al­legedly at­tempted to stab a vic­tim at Mount Car­bine has been re­manded in cus­tody.

It is al­leged that Con­cetto An­thony Tati at­tended an ad­dress on Mount Spur­geon Road and af­ter ver­bally abus­ing the res­i­dents, he pushed the vic­tim over caus­ing him to break his el­bow.

It will fur­ther be al­leged that he at­tempted to stab the vic­tim in the ch­est but in­stead slashed his hand, caus­ing a 3-4 cm cut.

Tati ap­peared in the Ma­reeba Mag­is­trates Court on Mon­day charged with unlawfully wound an­other and en­ter dwelling with in­tent.

He was re­manded in cus­tody and will reap­pear via video link from Lo­tus Glen on Jan­uary 23.
