JACK Law­son pleaded guilty in the Ma­reeba Mag­is­trate Court on Mon­day to one count of con­tra­ven­tion of do­mes­tic vi­o­lence or­der and pos­sess­ing dan­ger­ous drugs. Law­son was driv­ing on the high­way when po­lice pulled him over. He con­sented to a ve­hi­cle search which re­sulted in po­lice lo­cat­ing drugs un­der the driver’s side of the ve­hi­cle. Sev­eral bags with a crys­tal type sub­stance were also found by po­lice which to­talled 10.7 grams of metham­phetamines. The Gold Coast man is cur­rently on a pro­ba­tion or­der and in­tends to re­turn to the Gold Coast to find work. A con­vic­tion was recorded and he is dis­qual­i­fied from ob­tain­ing a driver’s li­cence for six months. He was also or­dered to com­plete 240 hours of com­mu­nity ser­vice.
