A FAST, action-packed night was enjoyed by about 1000 people who attended the Mount Carbine Bull and Bronc Ride last weekend.

The event started about 5pm on Saturday at Mount Carbine Rodeo grounds with nine different events held over the evening.

This year marked the 17th running of the annual event.

Mount Carbine Rodeo Association secretary Karen Pedersen said there were no bad injuries on the night and the crowd was well entertained.

“There was one little fella that got hurt but it wasn’t major,” she said.

“Saturday night we presented Lachlan Bensted with a buckle for 10 years as the MC for the event.”

Rodeo-goers danced until 2am while enjoying all festivities of the night.

In the open bull section only one rider stuck on for eight seconds out of 14 riders.

There were 28 novice bull riders with only two making time.

Pedersen said the association was grateful for all the sponsors who donated money, vouchers and in-kind support and those who volunteered their time.
