Mul­ti­cul­tural Fes­ti­val a huge suc­cess for 2017

THE big­gest crowd yet at­tended last week­end’s 2017 Ma­reeba Mul­ti­cul­tural Fes­ti­val with the com­mit­tee al­ready plan­ning for next year’s 20th an­nual event.

Hun­dreds of peo­ple en­joyed a num­ber of food ven­dors and acts in­clud­ing Span­ish dancers, singers, Abo­rig­i­nal per­form­ers and more through­out the day.

Mul­ti­cul­tural Fes­ti­val com­mit­tee chair­man Gi­u­liano Cor­denos said you couldn’t ask for a bet­ter event.

“The weather was fan­tas­tic and now we are plan­ning for the 20th an­nual event next year,” he said. “It will be even big­ger and bet­ter. “All the per­form­ers said that they will be here again next year.”
