DRUNK IN PHARMACY
On August 1 Dean Sarre was charged with one count of public nuisance and on August 14 he failed to appear in Mareeba District Court. After failing to appear in court on August 14 police located Sarree sleeping in a vehicle in Mareeba. When Acting Magistrate Raimund Heggie asked why he did not appear in court Sarre said he had lost his paperwork and got the dates wrong. The court heard that on August 1, Sarre was drunk in Priceline Pharmacy. While in the pharmacy he yelled at a staff member and called her names. The manager was informed and asked him to leave when Sarre started calling the manager an obscene name. After the manager called police he followed Sarre out of the shop where Sarre balled up his shirt and threw it at him. The 56-yearold man has no fixed address in Mareeba but has plans to move out of the region. In court Sarres admitted to being intoxicated on the day that he was in the pharmacy and that he did not remember committing any offences. Sarre was charged with five offences and received a 12 month probation order.
