FAILURE TO APPEAR
Tony Connolly pleaded guilty to one count of breaching bail on Monday at Mareeba Magistrates Court. On Friday, September 8 Connolly failed to appear in Mossman between 8am and 4pm which was the condition of his bail. The undertaking started on September 1. Police Prosecutor Sergeant Karen Equinox said Connolly phoned the police station the next day and said he had an unregistered car. ”He did not call to explain that he could not make it on Friday,” she said. Connolly was fined $200.
