Spooky crea­tures are ready to scare

VAM­PIRES, ghouls and witches will take over Mareeba this week­end leading up to Hal­loween.

A num­ber of events will be tak­ing place across Mareeba in­clud­ing the PCYC disco, Mareeba Leagues Club Bucks, Boos and Booze party for adults and their Kids Spooky Blast party.

Kids and their par­ents will also today be do­ing trick or treat down Byrnes Street.

The PCYC Hal­loween disco will be held at the Mareeba PCYC build­ing to­mor­row night from 6pm to 8pm for Prep to year 6 kids.

En­try will be $5 and there will be prizes for the best dressed boy and girl.

The leagues club kids’ party will start on Sun­day from 5.30 pm and will in­clude kids Hal­loween movies, arts and crafts, game and a lolly hunt.

Trick or treat will be hit­ting busi­nesses in Mareeba on Tues­day af­ter­noon and giv­ing kids the chance to build up their stash of sweets.

Kids will be dress­ing up and scar­ing busi­nesses with their cos­tumes.

All kids will be su­per­vised and vis­it­ing pre-ap­proved busi­ness from 3.30pm to 5pm.
