TRUCK DRIVER CHARGED
A Chillagoe truck driver who submitted to a random drug test found himself charged and disqualified from driving. On August 10, Noel Walter Woods was pulled over by police for a random breath testing and drug testing. After completing the test, police found methamphetamine in his system and he was charged with one count of drug driving. Magistrate Tom Braes read his criminal and traffic history and asked Woods if he was a drug addict to which he replied no. Woods was fined $750 and disqualified from driving for three months.
