CHILLAGOE country music arts Becci Nethery’s song Can’t Just Kiss You has hit number one in Australia.

Her sixth single from her album Beautiful Life picked up momentum after she recently won the Tasmanian Independent Country Music Awards for National Country Album of The Year.

Ms Nethery said this is the only song of hers that has hit number one on the Country Music Chart (CMC).

“It is the first one that has gone to the top on this chart and my other songs only ever reached around eight on the CMC chart,” she said.

“I think it definitely means my songs are being played more on Australian Radio.

“After my album got number one my song hit number one as well. I think it is all stemming from that.”

She said next she will be heading to Tamworth Country Music festival and working on a new album.
