: The Table­land Com­pany of Archers shot the last round of their In­door club cham­pi­onships on Sun­day last. There was no coach­ing con­ducted. A dou­ble Fita In­door 1 round was shot in­doors in the Sports Hall in Ma­reeba. A triple three spot face and a sin­gle 40cm face was used. A 60cm face was used for the OzBow In­door. Next Sun­day Novem­ber 12: The mem­bers will shoot a 72 ar­row round dur­ing the morn­ing. Set up and prac­tice 8.30am, shoot­ing starts 9am. There will be coach­ing con­ducted for be­gin­ners from 9am to 12pm at Ker­ribee Park Archery Range off Springs Road, Ma­reeba. The last Gen­eral Meet­ing for the year will start at 12nd. : The Ma­reeba Ri­fle Club shot a 2 X 600yd comp. on Sun­day Novem­ber 5. The con­di­tions were some­what vari­able and gave us all pretty scratchy re­sults: F Std: A. Simp­son (Ma­reeba) (10/11) 56.2; 61.3 – 117.5 Tar­get Ri­fle: M. Beecham (Ma­reeba) 15/15) 72.6; 71.0 – 142.6 D. Ford (Ma­reeba):(15/15) 66.2; 72.4 138.6 : Next week Novem­ber 12 the Ma­reeba Ri­fle Club will be hold­ing their AGM at the club house, no shoot­ing on that day as the SSAA are hold­ing their an­nual Armistice Day com­pe­ti­tion how­ever mem­bers are re­minded that they should bring their shoot­ing gear any­way in case the SSAA can­cel their comp. at the last minute.

Far North Queens­land Ladies Golf Cham­pion of Cham­pi­ons was held in Ma­reeba on Sun­day. Ma­reeba Golf Club golfer Kay Mul­lens was the Di­vi­sion 2 cham­pion and was pre­sented her win­nings by FNQ Ladies Golf pres­i­dent Liz Zakare­vi­cius.
