State of the art health fa­cil­ity

RES­I­DENTS in the Dim­bu­lah area can look for­ward to re­cev­ing bet­ter care at the town’s new Pri­mary Health Clinic.

The new build­ing was ad­vo­cated for by the com­mu­nity and has now be­come a re­al­ity af­ter it was of­fi­cially opened on Wed­nes­day. The con­struc­tion of the new $4.3 mil­lion fa­cil­ity will give pa­tients more “pri­vacy” and bet­ter com­fort in­clud­ing on­site car park­ing at the cen­tre. The old fa­cil­ity was built in 1965 and has since been de­mol­ished to make room for car park­ing.

Dim­bu­lah di­rec­tor of nurs­ing Glenda Fabris has been with the project since the be­gin­ning and said she was ex­cited about the im­prove­ments which had al­ready al­lowed for bet­ter health care in the com­mu­nity.

“This project is the cul­mi­na­tion of al­most two years plan­ning and prepa­ra­tion,” she said. Con­tin­ued page 9
