A woman pleaded guilty to one count of driving without a licence when she appeared at the Mareeba Magistrates Court on Monday. The court heard that on September 27 along the Kennedy Highway about 10.45pm police pulled over 27-year-old Cara Sue Reichardt. She told the Mareeba police officer she did not have a licence. Self-represented in court, Reichardt said it was a silly decision on her behalf. “I should not have driven,” she said. “I was sentenced to probation and after completing it, I have still continued to walk the dogs at the Mareeba Animal Refuge.” She was fined $300 with a conviction recorded.
