Mastermind initiative to create Tablelands jobs
A NEW business initiative is hitting the Tablelands in an effort to create more jobs.
After two years of running the Australian “franchise” of the Future Agro Challenge, a global ag-innovation competition, STartup and Innovation Tablelands (ST) has partnered with the Atherton Tableland Chamber of Commerce to put on another unique Tablelands event.
The Tablelands Inaugural Purpose Summit for Business drew over 50 eager participants from across the region.
As a result, a Mastermind Group was called into being.
Mastermind Group is a circle of like-minded business owners who get together to build trust and then work together to collectively problem solve around their business needs.
Group member Christine Doan said the group is using some very progressive and unusual methods to pursue that goal.
“Our best chance at local job creation is in small business establishment, growth and improvement,” she said.
Not only does the business owner create a job, that owner has the best cards for becoming an employer.
“A healthy small business sector is a foundation stone of most communities, and a sustainable one at that.
“The Tablelands Regional Council area has plenty of small businesses and some need diagnostics and treatment to become truly healthy and support their owners as well as the whole community.” For more information about the group see their website www.startuptablelands.org or firstname.lastname@example.org or ring Christine on 0419 656 247.
