GET active and have fun at the Mareeba Tennis Club this weekend.

Tennis players and fans are urged to head to the Mareeba Tennis Club on Chewko Road for a day of fun on Saturday April 14 at 2pm.

The club’s Fun Day aims to provide participants of all ages and abilities the chance to participate in tennis.

The club is opening their doors to the community and encouraging everyone to pick up a racquet, have a hit and participate in the inclusive sport of tennis.

Club president Mark Keating said it will be a great day out for the whole family and a positive way to be active.

“The Club Tennis Day promises to be a lot of fun, and you don’t need to know how to play tennis to come along and join in,” he said.

“It might just be the start of a new interest and new friendships.”

He said all community members no matter what their age are welcome to attend the day and hit a ball.

There will be a chance to meet the new coach Harold Prinns. For more information visit the Mareeba Tennis Club Facebook Page.
