Work­shops prom­ise to un­lock profit po­ten­tial

PRO­DUC­ERS will learn about mak­ing a profit from beef and sheep at two one-day work­shops early next month.

The work­shops will run from 8.30am-12.30pm with morn­ing tea and bar­be­cue lunch pro­vided. The first is at Kemp­ton on Mon­day, May 9 and then at West­bury the fol­low­ing day.

Ad­van­tage Feeders man­ag­ing di­rec­tor Ger­ard Roney said pre­sen­ters will give prac­ti­cal in­for­ma­tion and sys­tems to in­crease profit per hectare.

“Key top­ics in­clude en­sur­ing the profit driv­ing ac­tiv­i­ties get com­plete, the ben­e­fits of creep feed­ing lambs and calves,” Mr Roney said.

He joins Basil Doo­nan from Mac­quarie Franklin and Lienert Aus­tralia na­tional ru­mi­nant man­ager Deb Scam­mell as the pre­sen­ters.
