Lamb prices re­treat

A LIGHTER offering of lambs at Roberts’ Quoiba sale on Mon­day saw prices ease across the yard­ing.

The top pen of heavy lambs reached $171 per head with the ma­jor­ity of heavy lambs av­er­ag­ing $150 to $155.

A light offering of mut­ton saw prices main­tain re­cent strong quotes.

Heavy lambs sold from $140 to $171 while medi­umweight lamb pens made from $133 to $155 and lighter lines from $105 to $135 each.

There was an­other light offering of 32 pigs and av­er­age prices were $10 per head dearer than the im­proved rates in the last sale.

Best pork sold from $250 to $290 while lighter pigs made $220 to $245.
