Ap­pli­ca­tions open to be part of Agfest

EX­HIBITOR ap­pli­ca­tions for next year’s Agfest in May are now open.

Agfest chair­man Owen Wool­ley said re­search had re­vealed more than $26 mil­lion was spent by pa­trons dur­ing the an­nual three-day ru­ral show­case event.

“Af­ter the suc­cess of Agfest 2017 we are un­der­tak­ing sig­nif­i­cant up­grades to the site to im­prove the ex­hibitor and pa­tron ex­pe­ri­ence,” he said.

“If you have thought about ex­hibit­ing but never got around to it, now is the time to do it,”

Mr Wool­ley said the Quer­cus Park site at Car­rick in the state’s North had never looked bet­ter.

Ex­hibitor man­ager Ethan Wil­liams said it was im­por­tant busi­nesses sub­mit com­pleted ap­pli­ca­tions be­fore the clos­ing date to en­sure be­ing in­cluded in the selec­tion process.

“Although we want to have an agri­cul­tural fo­cus, we cater for many types of busi­nesses in in­dus­try-grouped ar­eas such as the Equine Expo, the craft pavil­ions and the Unique Taste pavil­ion,” Mr Wil­liams said.
