Lamb num­bers in­crease

MORE lambs were pre­sented at Quoiba this week.

New sea­son lambs held to re­cent week’s quotes top­ping at $164.

Old sea­son lamb prices eased slightly top­ping at $142.

Mut­ton held to re­cent week’s quotes. New sea­son lambs Heavy 140-$164 Light $123-$146 Old sea­son lambs Heavy lambs 120-$142 Lighter lambs 97-$126 There was a heav­ier ning of 54 pork.

Prices were from $10 - $15 per head cheaper than last sale.

CA Sher­riff $141. pen- THERE was a much big­ger to­tal yarding of 155 trade and ex­port cat­tle (plus a few stores) at Powranna and Kil­lafaddy on Tues­day with many more ex­port cat­tle and a bet­ter se­lec­tion of trade year­lings.

With more to pick from, trade cat­tle prices eased 5c to 10c/kg with the best mak­ing 290c to 326c/kg while re­stock­ers paid 287c to 328c/kg for steers and feed­ers paid 266c to 310c/kg for both steers and heifers.

Good qual­ity grown steers (500-600 kg) made 262c to 298c/kg while ex­porters paid
