Tasmanian Country - - RURAL PROPERTY -

EAGLE-EYED viewers of a TV cooking show may have seen this Federation farm homestead on Bruny Island.

This property houses artisan brand Bruny Island Food and the rare-breed pig farm of Ross O’Meara from SBS series The Gourmet Farmer.

The pigs thrive on the openrange bush runs, enclosed with electric fencing.

The property features three dams and farming improvements include a huge shed comprising animal stalls, workshop and storage space as well as a hay shed.

The three-bedroom 1920s homestead was built by one of Lunawanna’s pioneering families, the Conleys, who cut timber and planted orchards on the area’s fertile slopes. It features four bedrooms and coun- try kitchen with combustion range.

A separate one-bedroom studio is run as a commercial kitchen but it has potential for guest accommodation. a slow
