Rams on a roll in hot sales

The top-priced rams were bought by WJ Peck & KF Browne from South Aus­tralia and J and V Barker from Ti­mor White Suf­folks in NSW.

A full clearance of 20 Poll Dorset rams topped at $2000 twice and av­er­aged $1005.

The top prices were paid by Shane Gra­ham at Lach­lan.

A full clearance of seven South­downs saw a top price of $1800 and an av­er­age of $1143. Skin­ner Live­stock Marketing at Cam­pa­nia pur­chased the top-priced ram.

At the Mac­cel­slie Park sale, keen bid­ding saw a full clearance of all rams.

The 23 Poll Dorsets of­fered reached a top of $1100 four times and av­er­aged $987.

Nine White Suf­folks sold to $800 and av­er­aged $644.

The 11 South­down rams made a top of $1200 twice and av­er­aged $1127, while the 21 Bor­der Le­ices­ter rams sold to a top of $1700 and made an av­er­age of $1167.

The top-price pur­chase of $1700 was made by Stone­house Graz­ing at Le­mont.

Brook­lands Cir­cle N at Oat­lands pur­chased Bor­der Le­ices­ter rams to a top price of $1400.
