Numbers, prices dip for lambs
LIGHTER numbers of sheep and lambs were presented at Roberts’ Quoiba sale on Wednesday with lambs easing.
Lamb prices dropped a few dollars per head, topping at $160. Heavy lambs sold from $145 to $160 each while medium types made $137 to $153 and light lambs from $101 to $143 each. ROBERTS sold 45 cattle and 1488 sheep and lambs at Powranna this week.
ALLighter numbers of mutton were penned with prices cheaper across the yarding. Sheep sold from $36 to $102 per head.
There was another large line-up of store lambs yarded with a top price of $121.
There was a heavier penning of 76 pigs and the heavyweight lines held recent values with lighter pens up to $20 per head easier. Best pork sold from $230 to $320 and lighter pigs made $140 to $210.
