Num­bers, prices dip for lambs

LIGHTER num­bers of sheep and lambs were pre­sented at Roberts’ Quoiba sale on Wed­nes­day with lambs eas­ing.

Lamb prices dropped a few dol­lars per head, top­ping at $160. Heavy lambs sold from $145 to $160 each while medium types made $137 to $153 and light lambs from $101 to $143 each. ROBERTS sold 45 cat­tle and 1488 sheep and lambs at Powranna this week.

ALLighter num­bers of mut­ton were penned with prices cheaper across the yard­ing. Sheep sold from $36 to $102 per head.

There was an­other large line-up of store lambs yarded with a top price of $121.

There was a heav­ier pen­ning of 76 pigs and the heavy­weight lines held re­cent val­ues with lighter pens up to $20 per head eas­ier. Best pork sold from $230 to $320 and lighter pigs made $140 to $210.
