Big chance for small producer
WHEN sausage connoisseurs Oliver and Fiona Stocker could not find any locally that they liked, the next step was making their own.
Now the couple, originally from England, are running the Langdale Farm pork business near Glengarry.
The Stockers are breeding their own free-range pigs and making traditional sausages.
They are making their Agfest debut next month.
Agfest will be by far the biggest event the Stockers have attended so far.
“It’s a big event and a fabulous opportunity to promote our business,” Mrs Stocker said. “There will be a lot of people who haven’t heard of our products or tried them and we’ll be able to get feedback straight away.”
