120g (6 cups) puffed brown rice 60g ( 14 ⁄ cup) so­lid­i­fied co­conut oil 2 tbs pure maple syrup 2 tbs or­ganic ca­cao pow­der or co­coa pow­der

1 Pre­heat the oven to 150°C/130°C fan forced. Line 2 large bak­ing trays with bak­ing pa­per. 2 Place the rice in a large bowl. Place the oil, maple syrup and ca­cao or co­coa pow­der in a mi­crowave-safe bowl. Mi­crowave on Medium for 15 sec­onds or un­til the co­conut oil is melted. Stir un­til smooth and com­bined. Pour over the rice. Use your hands to mix un­til all the in­gre­di­ents are well com­bined. 3 Spread the rice mix­ture over the pre­pared trays. Bake for 3 min­utes. Stir well. Re­turn to the oven, ro­tat­ing the trays, and bake for a fur­ther 3 min­utes. Set aside on the trays to cool com­pletely. Store in an air­tight con­tainer for up to 1 week.

These co­coa pops get their sweet­ness from a dash of nat­u­ral maple syrup.
