condiment psychology? - - THIS MONTH -

Ever wonder why so many fast-food chains use red, yellow or both in their logos? It turns out there’s some colour psychology behind their choices. Research shows that the colour yellow can evoke feelings of comfort, and red can make you feel hungry. Known casually as the ‘tomato sauce and mustard theory’, this concept claims to influence you at a subconscious level. So when you’re entertaining this season, why not put this theory to work at home? Make your guests feel welcome and whet their appetites by brightening up your table with bright yellow and red hues. Think napkins, glassware, flowers – you get it!
