New 60-year study shows our personalities change over time I DON’T EVEN RECOGNISE YOU ANYMORE…
The longest-running personality study has revealed that not only do we change physically as we age, our personalities alter, too. The study began in 1947 with 1,208 14-year-olds in Scotland who had their personalities assessed by their teachers. 60 years later, researchers at the University of Edinburgh managed to contact 635 of them, 174 of whom agreed to be assessed again — with no notable connections to their previously-recorded personality traits. Seems like our personalities may be just as fleeting as our (good) looks.
