Mar­cus Hutchins is bet­ter known as the man who helped stop Wan­naCry, the world’s big­gest ran­somware at­tack — well, he was un­til he got ar­rested on an un­re­lated charge of con­spir­ing to cre­ate mal­ware that steals bank­ing de­tails. The 23-year-old has yet to be re­leased on a US$30,000 bond (at the time of writ­ing), af­ter plead­ing guilty to play­ing a part in the mal­ware’s de­vel­op­ment, sale and dis­tri­bu­tion.
