A BARGAIN CAMERA.
WHAT THE TP-LINK NC210 lacks in features, it more than makes up for with a bargain price as low as $50. Just like the more expensive NC260, the camera uses a 1/4-inch CMOS sensor, with a very competitive 1,280 x 720p resolution and wide 113° field of view. The 20fps frame rate is slower than the 30 from the higher priced competition, and there is no IR night vision included. It also records audio, but does not support two-way audio. The NC210 has 802.11n Wi-Fi built in, but drops the wired connection to save a little money.
The camera works with the excellent tpCamera app, which makes it easy to monitor what’s going, as well as record video and take photos. It also has motion and sound detection built in, and can send you a notification via email or the app if there is an issue. You can’t record footage locally using an SD card, but the app makes it easy to save and view later on your smartphone.
