MOZILLA TO WARN IF A SITE HAS BEEN HACKED
COMPANY PARTNERS WITH AUSSIE SECURITY SERVICE TO PROTECT YOU AS YOU BROWSE.
Mozilla and Have I Been Pwned will soon alert Firefox users if a site has been hacked. These new ‘Breach Alerts’ will pop up and direct users to a support page to get more information and see if their credentials have been compromised. Firefox users can also opt in to receive notifications of other data breaches. Powering this add-on is the site Have I Been Pwned, which was founded by Australian cybersecurity expert Troy Hunt. There’s no word on when it’ll go live, but the beta can be downloaded from Github.
