POR­TION OF AUSSIES THAT THINK THEIR SMART­PHONES ARE SPY­ING ON THEM

Ever thought that the tar­geted ad­ver­tise­ments you were see­ing were a lit­tle... too tar­geted? Finder.com.au asked thou­sands of Aus­tralians and found that nearly 20% of them be­lieved their phone to be eaves­drop­ping on them in or­der to pro­mote their ser­vices. As for de­mo­graph­ics, it was the young Gen Z (18–23) who were the most sus­pi­cious with 37% of those sur­veyed con­vinced their hand­set was a spy, with Gen Y, Gen X and the Baby Boomers fol­low­ing with 33%, 12% and 4%, re­spec­tively.
