Audio Only YouTube

TechLife Australia - - DISCOVER -

WHILE MOST OF us have playlists of videos on YouTube, we aren’t always too keen on watching the video, but rather prefer to listen to the audio, especially when it comes to music. It’s easy enough to just navigate away from the YouTube tab on your browser if you aren’t too keen on watching the video, but the video is still hogging your bandwidth and potentially playing you unwanted ads. Audio Only YouTube, as the name suggests, is a Chrome plugin that disables the video on YouTube and saves internet usage as much as 50%. Instead of the video, a thumbnail is displayed, but the image resolution is low and it will appear blurry. Using the plugin is as easy as installing it from the Chrome Store, opening a video on YouTube and clicking on the add-on’s icon in the toolbar. Every time the plugin is enabled or disabled, the YouTube video will refresh, so there will be a slight lag when clicking on the icon, which appears red when in use and greyed-out when disabled.
