CALENDAR TIPS

-

When looking for a gap in your schedule across several months, the Year view is a good starting point. In Calendar > Preferences > Advanced, turn on ‘Show events in year view.’ The view then uses color to indicate how busy you are on each date. In the sidebar (View > Show Calendar List), hide US Holidays and others if they have no bearing on your plans. Calendar is a great example of how checkboxes work together in apps that follow Apple’s guidelines, giving you the equivalent of Show All and Hide All in iOS: hold Cmd and click a checkbox in the calendar list to show/ hide all calendars at once. Or, hold Cmd+Opt and click a box to hide all other calendars.
