TRACKED IN ACT
Career criminal Stuart Campbell was released from prison in June 2017. Free for the first time in three years, Stuart, 42, was fitted with a GPS leg tracker as part of his probation. But the actual role of the device seemed to be lost on him.
‘The night after the tracker was fitted, Campbell committed five burglaries in a residential area,’ said prosecutor James Kellam.
It was only after his last robbery that he decided to cut the tracker off his leg. It was too little too late. ‘The data placed him at the scene of each and every burglary with which he was charged,’ said Mr Kellam.
The evidence put the crim back in the slammer for another eight years. ●
