Schol­ar­ships for emer­gency nurs­ing

NURSES who want to work in emer­gency de­part­ments, or who al­ready work in them, are able to get ac­cess to fur­ther train­ing, place­ments and pro­fes­sional de­vel­op­ment through Fed­eral Gov­ern­ment schol­ar­ships.

The Depart­ment of Health and Age­ing ini­tia­tive aims to en­sure nurses are pre­pared, con­fi­dent and skilled when pro­vid­ing pa­tient care in emer­gency de­part­ments, where they are of­ten the first point of con­tact.

Schol­ar­ships for clin­i­cal place­ments are avail­able for un­der­grad­u­ate and post­grad­u­ate nurs­ing stu­dents and reg­is­tered nurses, post­grad­u­ate study for qual­i­fied nurses, in­clud­ing nurse prac­ti­tion­ers, and pro­fes­sional de­vel­op­ment for nurses as well as emer­gency depart­ment non-clin­i­cal staff.
