National award for tourism educator
AN Adelaide tourism educator has received a national award for her services to the industry.
Carrick Tourism Training Australia gave the award to Institute of Education and Carrick Higher Education campus director Julie Clifford for her role in developing the tourism and hospitality industries by training new workers.
The National Training Legends Awards for 2011 are judged from a list of anonymous nominations and were presented last month to key industry figures.
Among the other categories are awards that recognise industry leadership and excellence.
Tourism Training Australia aims to improve the training programs and the skills of those working in the diverse industries.
