Awards for top staff on Yorke Peninsula
WORKERS on Yorke Peninsula are being recognised for their achievements in the workplace through the Celebration of Employment Awards.
The awards will honour the region’s apprentice, trainee, school-based apprentice and employee of the year, who can be employed as a casual, part-time or full-time, and will receive a plaque and cash prize.
Nominations now are open for the awards, with previous winners having shown a commitment to go above the call of duty, provide outstanding customer service and excel in their chosen field.
Employers of the year in small, medium and large organisations also will be honoured for providing opportunities in the local employment market, such as innovative employee initiatives, employing workers from minority groups and having a consistent commitment to training.
All nominees must work or live in the District Council of the Copper Coast, District Council of Yorke Peninsula, District Council of the Barunga West or Wakefield Regional Council areas.
Nomination forms, which include the criteria for each category, are available from council and Regional Development Australia Yorke and Mid North offices and must be received by 5pm on August 26.
The winners will be announced at the awards dinner to be held at Wallaroo Town Hall on Saturday, October 8.
