EX­PERT help is now avail­able for lo­cal tradies to be­come their own boss and en­hance their busi­ness af­ter the launch of the new Ap­pren­tice to Busi­ness Owner pro­gram.

The fed­eral govern­ment pro­gram pro­vides train­ing in a na­tion­ally recog­nised qual­i­fi­ca­tion in small busi­ness man­age­ment and in­cludes busi­ness men­tor­ing sup­port for up to 12 months.

El­i­gi­ble trades­peo­ple in­clude those start­ing a busi­ness or those who have re­cently es­tab­lished a busi­ness, ac­cord­ing to Sa­rina Russo Job Ac­cess spokes­woman Kerry Simpson.
