THIS blue-ribbon address was hand picked by a man in the know.

One might even describe it as a real estate treasure.

Yes. State Treasurer Kevin Foley is selling one of his investment properties, and it officially hits the market this weekend.

He says he owns two in Adelaide and one in Sydney.

‘‘It’s a good time to sell and reinvest in some more property,’’ he says.

While he wouldn’t reveal his future property plans, we can tell you the Treasurer is ‘‘actively’’ looking around the real estate market.

Mr Foley bought the Norwood townhouse off the plan – and since construction was completed about a year ago he has leased it out.

‘‘Its location is perfect and it’s an outstanding building and development project by Formex,’’ he says.

‘‘It’s a great location, it’s a beautiful, modern executive home.’’

The property is being marketed by Toop & Toop in an auction campaign with a price guide of $750,000-$780,000.

Its first open inspection will be from noon-12.45pm tomorrow and from 12.30pm-1pm on Monday.

Potential buyers will have a chance to make their bids at noon on July 15.

Agent Becky Neale expects the home to be a hit with the market.

‘‘Its most stand-out feature is its fabulous location – just off The Parade,’’ she says. ‘‘It’s close to some of Adelaide’s finest restaurants, and provides for a cosmopolitan lifestyle.’’

As for the home, Ms Neale says: ‘‘It’s very secure, it has great living areas which open up to a nice deck patio and upstairs there are three spacious bedrooms – two of them extremely large.

‘‘It’s very modern, light bright easy living.’’

In other news . . . he pops up all around town and this time media identity Troy Gray has been spotted on Kangaroo Island with Brock Harcourts agent Alex Ouwens. Mr Gray says he fell in love with KI last year during the one-week filming of a documentary he created for charity.

For those of you who remember, it raised $227,000 for Variety Kickin4Kids.

Mr Ouwens, who runs Club KI, tells us Mr Gray considers KI as Australia’s best-kept secret and revealed he would love to buy a property there soon.
