GETTING in touch with nature is part of the charm of an ‘‘oasis’’ of an Ethelton property. Owner Chantell Murphy says they have been there for only 18 months but have enjoyed it throughout the year.

‘‘All of the plants in the garden are native and we have native birds come and visit us as well,’’ she says.

‘‘There is a frog pond outside and you can hear the frogs most of the year.’’

She says the beautiful space in and out of the house made it easy to imagine living there for ‘‘ages’’ but she is passing it on to another lucky owner.

‘‘I think we bought the house because we’ve got a growing family and could see the potential for all of them (the children) to grow up here,’’ she says.

Three well-sized bedrooms make the house suited to families, while the lightfilled family room has plenty of space.

Double doors open to a shaded and paved patio and there is a second patio outside the formal lounge on the west side. The extension includes a studio or home office adjoining the living room.

Adelaide CBD is a 20-minute drive away and there are shops at nearby Semaphore and West Lakes.
