There’s plenty of space for entertaining in an innersuburban home, writes
WITH a detached rumpus room and undercover entertaining area, a Vale Park home is perfect for parties and boys’ poker nights, vendor Rebekah Tierney says. ‘‘It has a great entertaining area with plenty of room,’’ she says. ‘‘We’ve hosted many boys’ poker nights in that room and the kids and I haven’t heard them.
‘‘The rumpus room is a great area for the kids as well.
‘‘Small children and teenagers would enjoy the rumpus room as well because they can have their own space. ‘‘I think it’s pretty versatile in that regard.’’ The space has a cemented area, dividing the entertaining area from the main building, and there is a garden in front of the veranda and to the side.
‘‘It’s quite a big garden and it can be quite deceptive because there’s more room down the side. Brad is the gardener but I love the way it looks,’’ she says.
‘‘We have gone to a fair bit of effort to get that area the way we want it.
‘‘We’re out there all summer and usually eat our dinners out there.
‘‘It’s fantastic having that outdoor area and rumpus room.’’

‘‘The reason we love Vale Park is because it’s close to the city,’’ she says. ‘‘It’s a 15-minute drive and only a seven-minute trip to North Adelaide.’’
